Pickens County Drug Arrest

On 07/11/2023, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team attempted a traffic stop on Crest Drive in Easley.

The vehicle eventually stopped on Rolling Hills Circle in Easley following a brief pursuit. At that time, the vehicle’s driver was identified as Benjamin Allen Harkema, accompanied by Cynthia Jordan Davis.

Upon further investigation, Harkema and Davis were found to be in possession of an intent to distribute quantity of heroin and a trafficking weight of methamphetamine.

Furthermore, according to deputies, Davis admitted to tossing a pistol out of the window before stopping the vehicle.

Harkema and Davis were arrested on the following charges:

Benjamin Allen Harkema:

• Driving Under Suspension – 2nd Offense.

• Failure to Stop for Blue Lights – 2nd Offense.

• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 2nd Offense.

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin – 1st Offense.

Cynthia Jordan Davis:

• Carrying a Pistol Unlawfully.

• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 1st Offense.

• Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin – 1st Offense.
