D.A.R.T.

The Pickens County Detention Center maintains a specialized tactical team, referred to as the Direct Action Response Team (DART), to respond to violent or potentially violent incidents, including but not limited to cell extractions, cell relocation, riot control, disturbances, barricaded subjects, hostage situations, and forced showers. DART members are selected based on qualifications approved by the Detention Center Administrator. DART members must successfully complete the required training approved by the Jail Administrator to remain on the team.

The DART team holds each member to the highest standard of performance and conduct. DART members must abide by all applicable laws and agency policies and procedures when carrying out their duties.
